Cemetery Music

Hi all!

I've been cleaning out my email inbox and ran across this joke that my good friend, Lori, sent to me. Lori helps run a ghost hunting operation called Moonlit Ghost Hunts...be sure to check them out, and if you book a ghost hunt with them, be sure to tell them that Anna from Halloween Night sent you! Anyway, I thought some of you might enjoy this joke like I did!

A tourist in Vienna is going through a graveyard and all of a sudden he hears music. No one is around, so he starts searching for the source. He finally locates the origin and finds it is coming from a grave with a headstone that reads "Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827". Then he realizes that the music is the Ninth Symphony and it is being played backward!

Puzzled, he leaves the graveyard and persuades a friend to return with him.  By the time they arrive back at the grave, the music has changed. This time it is the Seventh Symphony, but like the previous piece, it is being played backward.

Curious, the men agree to consult a music scholar. When they return with the
expert, the Fifth Symphony is playing, again backward. The expert notices
that the symphonies are being played in the reverse order in which they were
composed, the 9th, then the 7th, then the 5th.

By the next day the word has spread and a crowd has gathered around the
grave. They are all listening to the Second Symphony being played backward.
Just then the graveyard's caretaker ambles up to the group.

Someone in the group asks him if he has an explanation for the music.

"I would have thought it was obvious" the caretaker says. "He is
decomposing."

LOL!!  I really like that joke!  ;)  Have a great weekend everyone!!

Back and ready for Halloween!

Hi everyone!

First of all, I want to apologize for being MIA for so long. That little thing called "life" got in the way and threw me off track! The holidays kept me busy, then on New Year's Eve I ended a longtime friendship that had turned very toxic. It was very hard for me to do, but it had to be done for both of us to move forward with our lives. I'm sure everyone has dealt with this at one time or another. I caught the flu, or something like it, soon after and dealt with that until the middle of February...in the meantime, my computer decided to stop working. Then, the first week of March, my husband and I got some terrible news. His mother passed away suddenly (only 64) and we had to make an emergency trip to England. We are still trying to come to terms with all of this, but it's very hard. My husband was very close to his "mum" and he's having a difficult time. I know it will eventually get better, but in the meantime it hurts like hell to put it bluntly. RIP Mum Marie, we love you!!

After we arrived back to the states from England, I got a new computer. I love it and am so glad to be back online regularly! Now I just have to transfer all my pictures and documents onto this computer. I don't look forward to that! Now that I have my new computer, I hope to be updating the blog more frequently with all the latest Halloween news! I have been posting over at our Yahoo group, come join us!!

Do you know what your costume will be for this year? Are you going to host/attend a party this year? Let us know! Also, if you are interested in writing a guest post for our blog, please email me! Keep sending the movie and book reviews as well!

Thanks for sticking with me and I hope to hear from you soon!

Happy Hauntings!
