Harry Potter Countdown!

Hello everyone!

I am so excited that this week is finally here!! I remember anxiously awaiting this week to come...last summer!! lol And what am I so excited about you ask? Harry Potter of course!! This Friday, July 15th, is when the final installment of the Harry Potter movie franchise has its debut. While I am very excited for the movie, I'm also feeling a little sad. Harry Potter has been a part of my life for 10 years now and it's sad to say goodbye. Luckily we don't have to say goodbye entirely though! We have the Pottermore website to look forward to and of course Harry Potter parties! ;) With that said, I wanted to do a little tribute to Harry Potter each day this week. As you can see, I didn't get a post written for yesterday, so I will add that in with today's!

For Monday:

Check out this countdown list that I found over at Frightcatalog.com (cool website by the way)! They came up with the top 5 best Harry Potter magical items and why they rock our muggle world! It's a great list that I wholeheartedly agree with! You can find their list over at their blog here: http://www.frightcatalog.com/blog/2011/06/28/5-best-harry-potter-magical-items/

For Today:

In my quest for all things Harry Potter, I stumbled across this find in my neck of the woods! This Harry Potter display is featured in the store window of Heads n Toes beauty salon in El Dorado, Kansas!

I love how the owner has arranged the display! She has a lamp post, popcorn buckets, a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie poster, school robe, a Nimbus 2000 broom, Marauder's Map, and a wand (which you can't see in this picture)! I've heard the owner is a huge Harry Potter fan, so if you make a visit please be sure to tell her that Anna over at Halloween Night sent you! Following are a few more pictures of the display!

My husband with a snow cone! lol He likes Harry Potter as well! You can see the wand in this shot.

And here's me! I had so much fun finding this display!

I hope you enjoyed the first two segments of our Harry Potter tribute week! Stay tuned for another segment tomorrow!

Alohomora!!
